Dr. John Biddulph holds first degrees in music and art history, a master’s degree researching creativity using ICT for children with special educational needs and a PhD from Trinity College researching autism and learning technologies. He is a qualified teacher, ECB Level II cricket coach and a terrible dancer.
John has worked as a professional musician, for Local Authorities in teaching and management roles, run a computer programming business, worked for the EU as a project manager for the European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education and is currently a freelance autism consultant and trainer including a specialist music programme. John is a visiting tutor for a PG Certificate course in Asperger Syndrome and an undergraduate course in Psychology. He is an external examiner for PhD studies in autism.
John is a published composer, writer on autism, children’s books, and technology. He is the composer of the Nautilus Project music to facilitate sensory integration and his recent CD ‘Galilean Moons’ is now an iTunes download. John is thrilled to be a member of the Autism Education Trust Advisory Council.
Although born in The Peak District, John now lives in the Midlands with his wife Fiona (an autism professional). They have three children; Sophie, Phoebe and Jack, and a cat called Boots. Unlike Boots, John has a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome. |
